La Montaña Azul
Chirripó Reserve, Costa Rica
Overview
Join us on this week-long journey with meditation master, Drupon Lama Dorje, as he shares the Tibetan ancient wisdom for gracefully navigating the transitional moments of life and death in a sacred, easeful and conscious way. These transitional periods we all experience are potent opportunities to fully awaken to our true nature of joy and happiness.
In this retreat, we will dive deep into the tender topics of impermanence, rebirth, the transcendental and transitory nature of all that lives.
We are so blessed Lama Dorje will be sharing the sacred teachings of Bardo (Transition) Throdol (those who can self-liberate). These teachings have been passed down in an unbroken transmission lineage for countless years directly from Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) who hid this text to preserve this essential wisdom for future generations (such as us). Each day we will explore one of the 6 Bardos, understand how this applies to living fully and meaningfully, how to deal with transitions of daily life, how prepare for and journey through the transition of death, how to assist those who are passing and their family, and the sacred prayers and mantras that support the calm clarity of the death transition. We will also receive the Padmasambava empowerment and practice so that we may connect with this enlightened wisdom and activity in our daily life.
These teachings will be accompanied by meditation instruction, breathing exercises, walking meditations, and silent meditation periods in order to solidify the teachings into one’s being.
By courageously exploring the reality of impermanence and informing ourselves about this natural part of life, we can confidently and joyfully live with dignity and die with dignity.
