Grant Research and Development

We're looking for someone to contribute 10 - 20 hours a month researching different grants that may align with LDF's various programs and projects. We would be working mostly with Excel or Google Sheets creating spreadsheets of data, deadlines, LOI's, and any special requirements. This position would be 100% remote.

  • Identify, write, and submit grant proposals and budgets, in collaboration with LDF team
  • Manage and maintain grant calendar including tracking deadlines, correspondence, and the receipt of gifts and pledges
  • Prepare grant proposals, letters of inquiry, annual and semi-annual reports, and strategic communications for foundations, corporations, and government agencies
  • Conduct on-going prospect research to grow the prospect pool for projects
  • Ensure all necessary records, files, reports, and databases pertinent to grant activities remain up to date and accurate
  • Work with LDF staff to manage grant-supported programs, including progress and achievements, budget components, and compliance with all grant requirements

Desired skills

Highly self-motivated

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel or Google Sheets

Database management

Experience in a nonprofit development/fundraising department preferred
