A gentle yet powerful weekend dedicated to the Vajrasattva practice of purification, an essential step within the Fivefold Mahamudra preliminaries. Over two days, Lama Dorje will guide us with clarity and kindness through the foundations of acknowledgement, release, and renewal—opening space in the heart for deeper Mahamudra realization. Open to everyone that wants to explore this powerful practice; even if you are not in the Mahamudra Course!

Agenda

Vajrasattva practice is traditionally the gateway into the Fivefold Path: a method for clearing obscurations, healing habitual patterns, and preparing the heart for the deeper stages of Shamatha, Vipassana, and Mahamudra. Over these two days, Lama Dorje will guide us step-by-step through the essence of the practice—combining mantra recitation, contemplative guidance, and explanations that make this ancient method accessible for practitioners of all levels.

Together, we will explore:

  • The meaning and purpose of Vajrasattva in the Fivefold Mahamudra sequence
  • How purification works in the Buddhist tradition, from a practical and compassionate perspective
  • The four powers: remorse, reliance, remedy, and resolve
  • How to cultivate an open, honest, and spacious attitude toward our own mind
  • How this practice supports the unfolding of Mahamudra realization

This retreat is part of Lama Dorje’s ongoing Fivefold Mahamudra online course, but it is also open to new participants who feel inspired to join for this specific module. No prior experience is required; sincere motivation is enough.

Across the weekend, we will create a container of presence—balancing guided practice, short teachings, and opportunities for quiet reflection. Participants will also receive practical instructions they can continue to use in their daily lives, bringing the blessings of Vajrasattva into moments of clarity, challenge, and renewal.

May this retreat support us in clearing the heart, strengthening our intention, and cultivating the inner space needed for the path of awakening to unfold naturally.
