Ideal candidates for the new positions would have a strong interest in Tibetan Buddhism, an altruistic motivation to serve, good communication, adaptability to change, self-motivated, organized, and reliable.
The Lama Dorje Foundation is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to help us set up a reporting system in Quickbooks and manage the annual budget of a fast-growing organization. Candidates must have the ability to analyze and interpret financial data, and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. The right candidate should be excited to jump in, organize, problem solve and help us grow!
Managing our annual budget, the bookkeeper would perform the following functions:
Oversee the collection of funds and the reconciliation of bank accounts
Issue tax receipts
Review and process bills for payment
Comply with reporting requirements of our fiscal sponsor
Prepare financial management reports
Categorize transactions in Quickbooks
Monitor monthly cashflow
Prepare financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
Experience working with Quickbooks and utilizing multiple currencies
Number of hours: Approx. 6-8 per month, with a flexible onboarding period to get familiar with the organization
